What does ad mean in tennis?
"Ad in" or "advantage server" means the server is one point from the game. "Ad out" or "advantage receiver" means the receiver is, which is also a break point.
The ad court is the left-hand service court as each player faces the net. It's called that because advantage points are always served to it.
